Your Characters
As a player, your character is your most important creation in any roleplay. There are several aspects to your character which makes them unique to you, including their stats, abilities, equipment, personality and more! Scroll down to learn a bit more about how characters in the Phoenix system work, and how your character will be one-of-a-kind. Stats and specialties
Your stats are a show of what your character is good at and values. Every time you level up your character, you can increase your stats, allowing you to mould your character whichever way you want. Putting points into these stats will provide bonuses in these rolls, and help you overcome the obstacles in your way!

As well as these 7 key stats, there are over 60 Specialties that fit within these, such as Stength (Might), Intelligence (Botany) and Charisma (Performance). These specialties allow detailed customisation, that makes your character uniquely you. Imagine two Dexterity focused characters, however one has chosen Stealth, Precision and Lock picking, with the other opting for Acrobatics, Dodging and Initiative. These 2 characters will feel and play very differently to each other!
Your character, exactly how you want
Phoenix does not use any classes or force you into preset builds, meaning that you are not locked into playing a warrior, mage or another class. This also means your party does not require specific roles, such as healers or tanks, allowing you to create any character you want to play in your party. Mix and match combat abilities, unique items, buffs, out of combat skills and more. You could also build a character who is not suited to combat at all, yet is a mastermind of charisma and manipulating people. This openness ensures that no two characters are ever the same!
Create your abilities
We know that everyone has their own unique ideas as to the types of characters they want to play, and that abilities, whilst fun to use, can go against this fantasy in your head. With Phoenix, we never want this to be the case. This is why we designed a system that allows you to create your own abilities!

Maybe you want your character to wield an ancient sentient weapon that upgrades with each kill. Maybe you want to play a cyborg mermaid who gets bonuses for being in the water. Maybe you want to just play a merchant, who whilst having no combat skills, is versed in all wares, able to identify and unlock special uses for items, whilst having his own network of contacts throughout the galaxy. Phoenix gives you the tools to design, balance and use your own custom abilities, and along with a database of over 400 abilities to choose and change, you'll finally be able to play your characters the exact way you want.
