My name is Matthew and I do most of the writing for the roleplays and guides. I have always been a massive fan of fantasy and sci-fi, and me, my brother and friends were always making and acting out stories, including Warhammer, Lord of the Rings, Warcraft, Star Wars and Dr Who. After coming up with the concepts for the settings on the school playground (although they’ve changed a lot since then) I moved from story writing to roleplaying, and never looked back.

After spending ten years at university and ending up with a doctorate, I spend my time when I’m not roleplaying carrying out ecological surveys, both on the ground and using a drone. I love the environment and animals in particular, and I love applying my knowledge to create new and strange animals and ecosystems in my roleplay worlds.

Hey, my name is Chris and I tend to handle the business and finance side of the business, although I also love writing adventures and rules, and work very closely with Matt on all of our products and rulesets. Being a fan of many franchises (think Warcraft, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars and Warhammer to name a few), it only made sense for Matt and I to want to make our own worlds, and from that the Phoenix system developed! When not roleplaying, or making adventures, I also enjoy gaming, reading, traveling and going out for a drink or two with friends!
